We have a new neighbor nesting in a couple of our trees, right in our front yard! Meet our little flying squirrel friend!This beautiful nocturnal wonder was nesting peacefully in one of our trees when Eric and Nick decided to pester it to show me. And while, I don't encourage disturbing sleeping beauties like this, I let it slide for a few quick pictures.
What was especially cool is after he got tired of Eric beating on the tree to get him to come out, he finally ran out of his hole, and jumped in to the air, gliding to the next tree, and disappearing in to another nest! We had no idea he had two trees to hide in!

Well that certainly isn't fair. You get ridiculously cute critters living in your backyard, and all I get are regular squirrels the size of my arm or larger.

This little critter isn't in my backyard any longer, I've long moved since then. We DO have squirrels and raccoon here though. <3

So sweet animals
They "can" get pretty tame if you feed them THE RIGHT DIET PLEASE
but please not catching and caging though some lkeep themn as pets.

The only way I'd take one like that is if something happened to the mother and I knew where the nest was. THEN and only then would I take the babies in and raise them as my own. Otherwise the most I'll do is feed them... and take pictures.
