Your paintings are pretty epic! Well worth it! That's one movie that will always tug at my extreme love/hate passion for both its epic story and beauty on one hand and frustratingly badly written characters on another...

Appreciate the kind words! Β
Yes!Β There were so many things that were good about it, too bad the movie failed to reach its full potential(could've been a modern classic). Visually I think it's one of the best movies I've ever seen

It was my absolute pleasure!!! I completely agree with you, and the story itself is pretty amazing.Β  I felt Oblivion had a similar streak in the visual and audio beauty but didn't even have a story to begin with, it was all hodgepodge.Β  I am happy however that quite a few directors are going for more serious or at least loving attempts at science fiction in the last year or so.

Absolutely! It's definitely a welcomed change to see more 'traditional' sci-fi in a climate dominated by mostly superhero movies. I liked the setting and everything in Oblivion, but the 'story' itself never grabbed me either(resulting in very little suspense). Have yet to see Elysium and Gravity, but have high hopes for both of them Β  Also, Interstellar by Christopher Nolan sounds like it could be pretty awesome sci-fi too!

Elysium is extremely fun.Β  I loved it personally, it was a pretty different take (had a strong Marxist streak to it).Β  Eliminating the love interest (you can see on the trailers) would have made it perfect, but it was very well put together.Β  Gravity on the other hand .... was perfect.Β  At least in my eyes, but you watch and then judge, each person has different opinions.Β

Beautiful movies do need a story behind them, the soulcrushing flaw in Oblivion.Β  I do agree completely on you take.Β  Nolan has done very fun and meticulous work. The important thing is to not cave into studio demands... that's what destroys movies.

That's true! I look even more forward to seeing them now Β  specially Gravity. If it's as intense as I think it is, it could be movie of the year for me.

I don't know about anybody else, but it was one of the best movie experiences I've had in a super long time! Hope you enjoy!!
