As she slowly stepped toward the bot, she started the breathing exercise that would wake her Neurachem. Quick little breaths followed by a long slow intake and a sharp exhale, each repetition seemed to slow time but was really just speeding her up. She pictured the process as a spring being tightened inside her. There was technically no limit to how far she could slow time but every clockmaker knows that a spring can only be wound so much. During the war she saw what happens when the spring breaks.
She was in range of the bot now taking one last big step forward she uncurled the chain end of her weapon with a flick of her hand.
