I was assigned to go take some pictures for my Photoshop class, this one was taken at a beach near-by. It's not all that special but considering I'm still really new to Photoshop I think it turned out pretty nice. I love how the sky looks but the sand and fence don't look so good.Zoom in for a better view.

i figure you've used the contrast tool and suggest you'd try out the curves tool instead.

I used contrast and levels, but mostly because those are easy to predict what the outcome will be and I haven't used curves much at all. When I made those changes I noticed the lower part of the picture didn't take them very well so I separated the pic into three layers... but since I was just doing adjustments and not complete changes the sand still looks very boring. Oh well, my own projects will have fewer restrictions than assigned ones

Nice start, this will be great practice as youg et to learn the tricks and tools in photoshop!
