I am on a Spring kick it would seem. I decided to do a picture of Thumper and Bambi out in the bushes in the woods surrounded by flowers and butterflies. I drew this by hand and did the coloring in photoshop. I hope you like it

The detail in this is better than great! The butterfly wings and the spots, the flowers and tree buds. the colors of spring are blanketed throughout the entire piece. Their eyes locking at each other with a sparkle of life symbolizing spring bringing life. Wow, this is very very good in all kind of ways. All of these things are made even more rewarding because of the amazing style you have that maks this your own.

actually it'd have taken 3 weeks and i'd still get it wrong since i can't do interactive landscaping to save my life ( i hope i'm never in a situation where i'd die if i couldn't draw grass 
deer ears are like the hardest ears in the world to draw, for real!

I've been working on the piece the last few days. I'm not 100% happy with my background. I don't like my stuff to really look realistic though so it isn't too bad. I'm with you on the deer ears. I must have done the one 10 different times and I'm still not fully happy with it, but I gave up XDDD Thank you though for the kind comment. I'm so glad you like it

i feel the same way about realism. ish. i mean i respect people that do it, but for me, it's kind of counter-intuitive as to what a characterization is supposed to be (especially with the invention of the camera)
