That's awesome. I'm coloring my lady Devaronian character right now. Can't wait to get her posted.
This is awesome. The furry lady Devaronians are the best. And much cooler than the furless ones in my opinion.

I like to try and keep mine within the rules of canon as well. But I have seen canon (well I guess they're canon) Devaronian girls without the think fur.

I've always loved this picture. It was the inspiration of one particular character I played once upon a time...

And that was exactly the reason I always loved to draw for SWAG.

Actually, it's a female Devaronian. I can't find the image hosted anywhere any more, but per the the Star Wars Roleplaying Game (a source of indisputable wisdom ), the original Alien Anthology for the D20 version, female Devaronians are furry, unlike the red-skinned males, and have no horns. This is not widely known about the galaxy due to female Devaronian's reclusivenes. Here is the original request for the picture, indicating the general furriness , etc.
Though I can definitely see the similarity, a bothan, on the other hand, has more of a wolf snout and looks like this .
Hope that clears up any ambiguities.

It's a D20 overkill as well though. Since there were three far less wooly Devaronian females in the D6 books that initially instigated the hair. Still, it works.

Hey, all I've got to say is: Talk to the wookieepedia: [link]

Yeah, wookiepedia is pretty renown for not having full or coherent coverage of most of the subjects. If it was published or otherwise created after 2002, they are a bit more complete, but everything between 1976 and 2002 is kind of spotty. I blame it simply on that wookiepedia is a poorly managed wiki and a relatively new thing, coupled with the huge absence of knowledge/ownership of books and other source material.
But as I said, it still works. I simply look at it as variety on the Devaronian question. Just as some Humans are hairier than others, there is plenty of room for hair density variety in Devaronians – especially since the hair patterns largely match across all of them and Sian can just shave.
