What can I say.. I'm a huge fan of Shirow Masamune. This was painted in this dark packing board in gauche... not a ideal combination as the damp card plays havoc with the colour till it dries...His two most famous characters Dunan and Bri in an original study by me..
And one of the last 100% traditional paintings I ever worked did (moved into digital after this)

you should try it on thick grey card (5mm+) water soaks in to the board and everything goes dark... you have to paint as long as you dare and then let it dry to see what you got (it dries out an drastically lightens)
but thanx for the kind words.... and yeh I miss Shirow's comics. Esspecially the black and white stuff
