Description
All doneThe model is smaller than a sheet of A4 and is a drastic up-detailing of a readily available template.
It's been fun and I've learned a lot.
I'm also considering a studio scale replica build of the 35" model but that's definitely a project for another day...

I supposed so xD If not, the papers would fall.
Anyway, it's awesome!

A few years back I found a template and a tutorial for making, as far as I can see, the exact same thing and even successfully executed it. However, I didn't do it as well as you did and it seems to me yours has a little more details than mine does (but I can't confirm it right now, since I don't have it with me right now).
I understand how much work (and glue) it takes to create such a beauty. Great job.

Ta..
and yes if you built the template vanilla then mine will have more detail (leave no surface un-greebled)
but it was simply a process of printing out additional parts and layering them up...

Maybe I should have thought of it myself, but I was rather satisfied with what I did - til I saw how great looks what you did.

OK. So when I saw this in the thumbnails I thought "A DD for a photo of a model... why?", and now I know!
The detail is just amazing, and even more impresive considering the size.
Definately a worthy DD

Nice results! I made one like it not too long ago, not as detailed- about same scale. What did you use for the external piping?

I used uncooked thin spaghetti on mine! A drop of water and a few minutes made bends possible. Used a foamboard disc to start from as a core. Like the details you have on the two arms!
Well deserved DD

Wow this is a brilliant paper work ! I absolutely adore the Falcon and you did a perfect job recreating its look and the random greeble/panel work. The photo itself is also very good - that dark background fits it really nicely !

Luke: What a piece of junk.
Han: She'll made .5 past lightspeed. She may not look like much but she's got it where it counts kid. I made a lot of special modifications myself. We're a little rush so if we'll just get on board, we'll get out of here.
Nice job with this. Wow.
