I know it's hard to read, so download for readability. Please!!Well this is it. That thing that's kept me doing simple comics since last month. It took three weeks and a mad rush at the end there, but here I am, at seven in the morning with a finished comic that's almost nothing but pure experimentation. I wanted to see if I could. Because I don't experiment much nowadays, and I needed to see if I had a detailed dark moody piece in me. Apparently I couldn't do that without some familiar characters, but that's another story. Penny is my own creation though. Mostly. This is a comic page with Scooby and Shaggy a bit older and a bit more weathered. After all, Scooby Doo is about thirty-eight this month. He and Shaggy have been traveling across the country and ran into this girl on the road. Naturally, even though they've been at this awhile, they still manage to run into ghosts here and there. And naturally Penny's not used to this kind of thing. It's a simple one page character study, and I may return to it, but for now enjoy a random experiment. I hope it doesn't stop there, but it'll go in it's box for now..

You know, I actually thought that that was Inspector Gadget's niece Penny. Still, very nice; I think I like Shaggy older, not so hippie like, and without the rest of the gang.

A bunch of people have said that same thing. I think maybe she could be Inspector Gadget's niece, but the only reason that I didn't decide to follow that road is because it didn't pertain to this plot. Maybe somewhere down the road I'll take that fork.

It was a bit challenging, took about three weeks, but I was happy with the outcome. I'm not sure when I'll be in the mood to do something this complicated again, but this'll be the first place to put it!

That's some awesome coloring there. Pity that it takes too long to color. It'd be too difficult to keep up a schedule like that. But dagnabit, it's gorgeous, in a dark way.

Ya, she was originally based on Penny, but I decided to make her someone else. But then I may just have her as Penny, seeing how many people recognized her.

THe part we don't see kiddies is Fred and what's her face finaly split off and Velma got that guy Broavo, leaving a rikity old van to these two (Points at Shaggy and Scooby) and now some poor girl is hitching a ride with some old hippy who "Sees dead people".
It'll take her about ten minutes to realize Shaggy may have had one too many Scooby snacks in his life.
As for the comic it's self, I really like how it looks, tho the frames could have flowed better for me, I get mixed up in the order of what I'm reading. (But that could just be me and all the Naruto manga, that'll turn any reader around)

Maybe she sees dead dogs. And that's how she sees Scooby now that he's "old." I'll bet you got confused at the close up? I think that flowed a bit off for me too, especially since I didn't border it the same as the others.
And I think that's Daphne you're thinking of?

actually she somewhat is. See I originally thought why not have her from Inspector Gadget? But then I decided not too for some reason. That's why I said "mostly" in the description. As it stands, she's just a girl drifting through the country, who happens to be good with engineering, and who doesn't know Scooby and Shaggy's way of life (unwilling as it may be)

If it were Penny, and she's traversing the country side, she should have lost her memory and her Uncle has been on a super long search for her. Like, she was captured many years ago, but she managed to escape. However, upon escaping, something like a support beam hits her in the head, causing her to lose her memory, but she stills has her engineering knowledge.

wow that's a neat ramble. The support beam is somewhat hokey (or about as hokey as an escaped convict running into a random particle acceleration test), but memory loss is easily done. I do like the idea of Gadget searching for her.

Yeah, I can imagine Gadget being a total wreck and when he finally finds her he's histarical. After Penny's all, "No! No I don't know you!" DRAMA and runs away, Gadget collects himself and it's all...long dialogues in a coffee shop afterwards, lol.
