Dinobots is not only name of sub-species, or a fraction, is more a slang name for any type of cybertronian (or something similar) species who transformers into dinosaurs (Or any ancient reptile like species). So even minicons or beastformers can be a dinobots.

History:
After getting her first cybertronian transformation and scanning a vehicle mode paradox explain that the many factions of Cybertron war once at war but that war has stopped but something's starting to rile up the factions again and it might lead to war again and then he pointed her off too her next location then gave her some odd looking wallet, in car form she arrived at a bar to see cybertronians with bits of robotic Dino parts on them "are you the dinobots"driveaway asked,"yes we dinobots why you ask tiny car" the big one who look like a T-Rex said she let Henry out and transformed into bot mode "well I'm driveaway and I heard that there was something Riley you guys up " yeah dumb Race car cap calling we dinobots dumb lizards we are smart lizards especially me grimlock" grimlock yelled out loud driveaway was a bit taken a back "Don't mind Grimlock, Grimlock can be loudy, ah yes me name is Slash, Slash is glad to meet you! " the female raptor bot said "oh it's nice to meet you too I'm driveaway is there anyway I can get him the calm down?" "Slash thinks get rowfind oil grimlock really likes it" "okay thanks for the help slash"driveaway politely said to slash "No problem ma'am" driveway with Henry went to go find some refined oil and they were able to meet an Autobot who is willing to give some for a price she remembered the wallet paradox gave to her she pulled out what she thinks is their correct amount luckily it was she gave him the Shanix (cybertronian currency) she got the refine oil to the dinobots and they all were happy and paradox appeared behind her
