I love Votoms and Chirico, but I'm not really want to see the sequel. (if they will make that in future)
He is really a kind and brave man, but every time he start a new travel, there are only pain and sadness wait for him
Hope some day Sunrise could give him a good ending...

I always thought that the Phantom Arc was done to give a bittersweet ending to Chirico, while leaving it open enough for another sequel (as said by the director, no sequels have been planned yet, but he might make one when he feels it necessary)...

I wouldn't mind having Mellowlink have his own series, or perhaps have a new protagonist....

But, then and again, Case Irvine was horrible, and the idea of sequel eludes me whenever I think about it.

I completly agree Case Irvine is a horrible thing XDDDDD.
The ambience,design ,expression...There are handsome boy(with a secret of course), sexy and moe girl, rival, robots battle(fight and talking!)...
These make Case Irvine like a normal robot anime ,but not VOTOMS.It's so strange, I can't believe it's in Astragius Galaxy too.

And I was really pissed off when I found out the "secret" behind the protagonist...

Seriously, an Emo blondie who should be trialled for killing all of his comrades (aka a traitor) is being called a PERFECT SOLDIER???

When I heard VOTOMS Luleuch call the blond guy a Perfect Soldier, I literally flipped the table. Epsilon must be screaming at Case Irvine for having him at the same level as the pussies of Case Irvine... I guess that is what happens when Ryosuke isn't there to direct a VOTOMS series.

I think this should have been the directions to take for a VOTOMS spin-off:
-An 6-12 episodes OVA of Balarant soldiers, or maybe Melkian Purple AT pilots. Both seem to get no credit whatsoever, but something tells me that there must be some reason these guys are considered as formidable opponents.

-An OVA about the first deployments of the Scopedog, and the men involved in this glorious event.

-An one time OVA concerning the creation of Wiseman, Chirico's childhood, or Pailsen's discovery of the "Abnormal Survivor Theory".

-The Exploits of Chirico's child, without putting further tragedy for poor Chirico.

-Han Solo style ADVENTURES OF GOTHO, or the exploits of Vanilla and Cocona's children.
