Cloud had spent the past few weeks training with Cray, a very high-spirited Burik mare. They had a Halter show coming up and he wanted to make sure she would be somewhat behaved since she had a tendancy to act like she just came straight from a wild herd. - She'd probably be content in one. They had found a perfect song for the event and while training, he would have the music playing softly in the background.

Now it was the day of the event and to say Mr. Fairbanks was a bit over confident that this mare would be on her absolute best behavior. As the music started softly playing over the stereo that sat on a table near the judges, Cloud came out from behind the crowd jogging along side a very nicely gaited mare; bringing her into the grassy judging area. "The color of her eyes were the colour of insanity" the lryics played and how the song fit. Once the mare was brought to stand still and the music's beat had just picked up a little her front legs reared up as she neighed loudly before coming back down while bobbing her head up and down a few times while her legs pranced up and down in place. Mr.Fairbanks confidence level had dropped back down to earth as he got the mare to settle down. Giving her lead a slight tug before patting her cheek, which was met with air being forced out the mares nose, causing a raspberry-like sound.

"Were all just dancers on the Devils Dance Floor"

With the song stopped, the mare stood calm, her once neatly comb mane now a bit out of place. Her left front hoof pawing at the grass below while the judges looked her over. Her tail flicked and swished side to side, the long hairs slapping against the sides of her body as she waited impatiently for the judging to end. The mare's halter had been specially made with leather straps dyed gold and buckles that looked like four leaf clovers and a horse shoe to which a lead could be clipped too. It was definitely a one-time use halter but it was well worth it.
