Lore:
The UTC (United Territories of the Commonwealth) was formed shortly after the evacuation and destruction of the Institute. The provisional government was officially founded in the Old State House in 2289 at the initiative of the Minutemen and the Sole Survivor, in what's later been called the "Goodneighbor Treaty".
Present at the meeting was Mayor J. Hancock (representing the territory of Goodneighbor), Mayor P. Wright (rep. Diamond City), the Sole Survivor and Lieutenant-General Garvey (rep. the Minutemen), Commander McArthur (rep. Gunner Rebellion), Dr. A. Filmore and Dr. B. Virgil (rep. former Institute Scientists), among others.
By 2291 the UTC had expanded throughout much the former state of New England. Futhermore - after an expansive restoration and security initiative - the city of Boston had become a functional capital. And train tracks had been restored to make up the New Commonwealth Railway.

What happened to the Brotherhood of Steel? Are they led by Danse now? Were they forcefully assimilated into the UTC? Are they being hunted down by the UTC?

That's an interesting bit of - well, I guess you could call it Fallout 4 Fanfic, but it's nicely done and a interesting, and hopeful, ending for the Commonwealth.

One explanation I heard for the Glowing Sea is that it wasn't created by the bomb but by a nuclear melt down that occurred a few miles North West of where the bombs detonated.

Apparently there is the remains of a Nuclear Power Plant hidden within the Glowing Sea. So yea, I give a thumbs up to that theory of the Glowing Sea being irradiated by that reactor when it went critical. Kinda like what happened with Chernobyl.

The designs are badass but the name isn't great, instead of United Territories of the Commonwealth why not call it something like the Confederacy of New Massachusetts. And to help make their society less completely good, you could style their economy and systems of government off the CSA (just replace black slaves with non-sentient synths). It would present the opportunity to explore the problems with a slave economy other than keeping slaves.

The Glowing Sea is actually the small red area closest to Boston (you can see the dotted outline of the Fallout 4 map). The large one is the New York area, rumored to be completely destroyed.

was the town of nova based on?the closest town i could find in its vicinity were fairhaven,rochester and acushnet and i cant find anything about novas on any of them?,otherwise i absolutely love this vision of the commonwealths future.

I'm a Brotherhood man myself, but this is still cool and it shows you have put a lot of time, thought, and effort into this.

I like the idea. I pondered myself about aftermath. Only I thought of a brotherhood as a military element in the society, not Gunners. But come to think of it, they are inadequate when it comes to the synth situation.

Maybe if we wanna be high it can be between 500,000 and 1 million, in comparison the population of the NCR in the 2241 was estimate at 700,000 circa, so is possible that by the 2291 (If NCR annex Vegas) they coud have near 1 million of population
