One more step-by-step, this time of this work:
As you can see I planned to paint Elf Archer but she suddenly transformed to Kali One simple tip for the light. I used overlay layer twice: first on the background behind the character and over the trees and the second one over the girl. Soft brush ~30% opacity, light yellow color for upper part and blue for cold reflexes on bottom
