That's very rude to say so. I never make overpaints and I spent about 6-7 hour only to paint her face. As I mentioned above I used references (trailer screenshots) to paint her face right. With an accurate eye it's possible to create almost a copy (search some studies by other artists on DA and you'll understand what I'm talking about). I caught her general face features well , but my painting still has different eyes angle, nose shape, lips, eyebrows and face shape (always have problems with a chin, especially in this camera angle). Oh, and special for you I made this picture for compilation: Sombra by OlchaS + reference  , so you can easily see all differences.

I was exaggerating to prove a point. It's such a carbon copy of the original that you might as well have just painted over the screenshot.

All those little nuances don't matter, at the end of the day it's everything that's blatantly the same that sticks out.
Thanks for that side-by-side though. Now that I take a closer look, I can see that you even copied the general lighting. Ace.

You're just more than rude. I don't understand why you attacking me for using references. REFERENCES. Not overpaint. Please read about the difference on the Internet. If a person have a picture NEAR working canvas to keep features proper, to make nice lightning (not the same btw) that is not paint-over.

Necro sort'a, but don't mind anyone saying otherwise - referencing is a part of learning how to draw, and it is completely different from tracing
Personally, not having had an art teacher, I can't count the things I learned over time by studying after references. I think you're doing a fine job and are on the right path to become a good artist given time
