They were a family of superheroes?Β  I vaguely remember an episode where Kim met the original family team.

I concur!

I think there's more to the story than Shego merely liking being evil.

Maybe I should ponder this for a future fanfic...

Definitely. No one wakes up and decides they want to be evil one day, especially not if they've spent years of their life being a good guy. I'm sure the cause of the divide between Shego and her brothers goes deeper than "they were annoying," and I imagine her choosing to become evil was a more difficult decision for her than she or Hego make it out to be. But it's not too surprising that the show never delved into their story. Β With the exception of Shego Team Go are minor characters, and besides that Shego isn't the type to talk about her past and her brothers don't seem to understand her at all-- which, I imagine, is at least part of why she decided to split.Β

Oooh, please do! There's a shortage of good Shego origin stories out there.Β

I think the "they were annoying" sounds like Shego is trying to rationalize the decision to herself, more than anything.

So what you you hiding from us, O Lovely Lady of Green Fire?

And with my own pet theory on who Shego's real father is, I think the proverbial game is afoot, eh?

And, yeah, too bad Team Go were just side characters. They could have had their own spinoff-series.
That would also have the added benefit of giving us more of Electronique.

Mmm... Electronique.

Β Now I'm curious.Β Who do you think her father is? Headcanons are always fun.

Well, he does consider him and Shego to be a "sort of evil family". And he does make sure she gets her nice Christmas gifts, like paying for her vacation and they keep squabbling like a dysfunctional yet loving father and daughter. Also, they have the same dark hair.
They do care for each other but I don't get quite the same romantic vibe from them as with Ron and Kim.

So, yeah, as you might have guessed by now, my theory is that Shego is Drakken's daughter.
Maybe he had an affair with a certain Mrs. Go, just once. And it was a Tuesday, as it were. Yes, that Tuesday...

And Shego was the only one of the Go-siblings who turned Evil, remember? And being the. well, odd child out, so to speak, it should be easy to figure out why she felt like she didn't belong and left to pursue a career of evil.

Also, seeing as how Dr. D is an academic, it's not impossible he financed Shego's studies. She is a fully credentialed teacher, after all.

So there's my pet theory.

Thank you! I'm a big Team Go fan myself-- there's clearly an interesting story there, and it's a pity we never got the chance to explore it with any depth.
