In the lands of the far east, lies a nation governed through the skies. A loose confederation of island states; led by their elected leader the Lakan. The 4 islands of Bakunawa, Visayla, Luconis and Maguindato make up the Commonwealth of the Isles of Pearl Orientis. With gigantic sea dragons that swallow ships whole; preventing any sort of sea travel. This is nation that was forged through the might of the Skyship; enormous lumbering war machines that roam the skies of the Orientis Isles.

Once a fragmented region of 4 independent nation states. The Orientis Isles were finally united during the Las Isla Summit of 1521 AP. The "Act of Friendship", would bind the once separated nations into a common destiny and purpose. Establishing the "Commonwealth of the Isles of Pearl Orientis". With Bakunawa City being designated as the national capital.

While on paper, the Orientis Isles is a single united entity. In reality; regionalism is prevalent within Orientis society. Many identify themselves from their home island first, and Orientis second. Therefore, the 4 major islands still retain some autonomy from the central government. While a national identity is still not fully developed in Orientis, there is still a semblance of unity. When the Orientis Isles are faced against a common threat; then their united might is to be expected.

Bakunawa island; located in the south-east, is the home of the capital and federal government. Is well known for their educated populace and brilliant academics; being nicknamed, "The Land of Innovation and Progress". It was in Bakunawa city, that the first iteration of the Skyship was invented. Bakunawa is a hub for scientific minds alike. With new inventions being invented in the many academies in Bakunawa. However, many people outside the island often label Bakunawans as arrogant and self-centered. Due to their position as the national capital and inventors of the Skyship. Bakunawans from the capital are often criticized for their luxurious and abundant lifestyles; in comparison to the less fortunate reality of the folk of the countryside.

Visayla island; located in the south-west, is the Martial Spirit of the Commonwealth. Its people are well known for their martial prowess and unbending stubbornness. Having the smallest population among the islands, due to their rugged and mountainous terrain. Visayla has produced many famous warriors and commanders. In the Orientis military; many high ranking officers and renowned warriors are of Visay descent. Many officers are also educated in the art of war in the Orientis Military Academy in Visayla city. The Visay are a honorable people; but also stubborn. They are well known for their staunch regionalism. As due to the nature of their rugged terrain; many cultures had evolved while being isolated from one another. As a result; Visayla is one of the most culturally diverse regions. With them having over 7 languages.

Luconis island; located in the north, is the Endless Bread Basket of Isles. With their vast farmlands being their source of reputation. It is said that if Luconis were lost; a great famine would sweep the Orientis Isles. As a result, Luconis is the island with the highest population with over 11.7 million inhabitants and holds great influence among the islands. With their capital city of Luconis being nicknamed the "Jewel of the North". The Lucon are well known for possessing a rivalry with Bakunawa. As, during the days of pre-unification. The two islands were the major superpowers of Orientis and often went to war.

Maguindato island; the northernmost island of Orientis, is the Industrial Heart of the Nation. With Maguin mines littering their many mountains. The Maguin are well known for being extremely wealthy and being shrewd businessmen. With their capital of Maguindato city possessing grand palaces made of the finest marble. Having the 3rd largest population in Orientis; Maguin industrial might is integral to Orientis society. However, the Maguin have gained a reputation of being materialistic.
