hey, thanks for commenting
still, i think i ow you an explanation, by which you might be a bit dissapointed about the :surprised: work. It wasn't half as hard as it looks: i found an old box with the commercial for some kind of vacuum cleaner (so it isn't ironing ...), by which the work of the housewife would be much easier. I was making a whole series of emotions in which people can make the sound 'a'. So this is one of them. I'm afraid i only added the little a-balloon.
Hope you still like it

Oh no, not upset at all sir! It's wonderful how you put it all together anyway! That's what collages are!
So it's a vacuum! Haha sorry, my mistake..I see the resemblance now.
Anyways, wonderful work yet again! DO keep it up!

Hm, that 'Turbospazola Elettrica Aspirante' cleaning machine looks a bit like a Iron. Why whould anyone iron their sofa? Strange...but I like it that way

well, in fact it does look like it,
but in stead of ironing, is it sucking dust
thanks

well, hmm, beauty, i don't know
maybe your right, but still, it's the kind of things i hang on my own wall, so ... yeah, i like it.
but no probs, there are a lot of things i don't like too
and to answer your question: no, i didn't really make this.
my way of making things, in short, is collecting old things (flea markets, rubbish, ...), and give it a new destination.
the one you are commenting on is a part of a serie called 'a=an emotion' So yeah, the only thing i actually did, was adding the balloon. But i trie to put those things in an other perspective.
Thanks for commenting

i'm really diggin' this piece! it looks much like the collages we did in my pop art painting class
we'd do stuff like this, then make it into a photo slide, then project it, then paint, it was lots of fun!

only 13X11 cm
mixed media (or more specified: things i find on flea markets; like those little letters you used to press through on a paper)
it's part of a whole serie of 'a=an emotion'

Well, alright; I love your VERY kitschy gallery. Only my mother always hated it when I told her that her taste was kitsch (although it is very, very kitsch) so I figured I'd better use the word lightly in case it isn't fashionable anymore (these things change overnight)! I'm watching it, anyway

hehe, thank you! and you may give my emailadress to your mother, so we can interchange some kitch tips

Lilaims In reply to oldfashioned [2005-05-09 19:48:30 +0000 UTC]
I'm sure my mother would love that, but unfortunately she is still in denial about her kitsch habit; she thinks that it's old fashioned (which judging by your user name you do too!). Not as old fashioned as her inabilty to operate email, however . (sorry, I will stop cluttering up your comments now!)
