This is the last image in the series of images commissioned by Nightgerbil (www.deviantart.com/nightgerbil ). I believe the hair is from a drama series called Victoria. Obviously, The hairstyle is that of the Victorian era. Once again, heavy usage of curve modeling was used to create the hair. Typically, curve modeling in hair means using a curve as a hair lump that can be placed and morphed to fit onto the head. But in my case, I used a geometry-based strand and used curve modeling to curve it into place. Afterward, the strand is instanced to add volume. It is a much more tedious way of doing it but it also gives a much better control over the direction of the hair strands.
