Description
This is a quick demonstration of my ability to use all elements in Davinci Resolve including Edit, Fusion, Color, and Fairlight. Since a 3D animation renders as an image series, my workflow typically starts with post-working each and every frame in the image series before sending it out to a compositor. I can use 3 compositors, namely Natron, Blender, or Davinci Resolve. Natron is used for extensive composition changes or heavy VFX elements due to its uncluttered node workspace which makes it easy to build a complex node tree. Blender is used for more technically specific workflows such as importing camera angles or blending 2D image backgrounds as 3D environment object textures in animation. For general video editing and compositing, Davinci Resolve is used.
This video clip was edited and composited entirely in Davinci Resolve. Normally, I would start from a Fusion Compound Clip and bring in all the media files into the compound clip. However, I didn't do it for this clip since it was to be a simple editing and compositing task. As it turned out, it was a huge mistake and it shows in the final result. Nevertheless, I think it should suffice for the purpose it was made.
Due to my inability to upload the clip directly to DeviantArt, here is the link to the video clip at Vimeo: vimeo.com/780463244
