I just got back from another mission and I was granted a few weeks off. I decided to go to New York City. I am wandering through the streets when suddenly I hear a familiar voice yelling across the street. I look over and see Claire Redfield. She looks absolutely incredible. I am about to go over and say hi when I see her embracing another man. I look over at him and I recognize him it's Neil Fisher the head of Terra-Save. From the way they are looking at each it's obvious they are more then just friends. I quickly look away and I find that my heart is breaking. Last time I saw Claire it was the Hartford incident and before that it was when I got the anonymous call that she was in trouble. It was right before I left for training and my mind was still reeling because a few days before I had no choice but to break her heart in order to protect her and Sherry from the Government involving them in all this. I was about to leave when I got a call and a strange voice told me that Claire was in trouble and I needed to go to her. I demanded to know who was on the phone but the only response I got was an address. I rushed off at once. I kicked the front door down and searched the house. I found her in the basement knocked out wearing the same clothes that she had been wearing two prior to when I saw her last. Laying next to her was a dead BOW that had been shot. I ran up to her and made sure she was okay. I felt a pulse and I knew that she was okay. She was then transported to the same facility that Sherry was being kept at. The Doctors told me that they were going to keep her for a few more days and hold her for observation to make sure she was not infected. I wanted to be their when she woke up but my handler showed up and told me that it was time to go. I managed to write a letter and hide it in a book that I gave to Sherry. Sherry told me that she would make sure that Claire got it. In the note I told Claire how I felt and about how I will be fighting like hell to make sure that one day we could maybe be together.

My mind comes back to present and Claire is kissing Neil hello. I find myself getting jealous and then angry. "What did you expect Kennedy? That she was going to wait for you? She is a beautiful woman who has every right to get on with her life." I look at her one more time and I turn around and walk away "Good bye Claire and good luck"

Meanwhile across the street Claire gets the weird feeling that she is being watched. She turns around and doesn't see anything at first. Then she spots him. Leon who is walking away. "Oh God Leon I'm sorry you must have saw me and Neil kissing" Claire and Neil had been dating for a few months now and it had not yet gotten serious. She was going to tell Leon about him but she honestly wasn't sure how to. The truth is she still thinks about Leon and about how they just can't be together. It was the hardest thing that she ever had to do but Claire had to move on. Still she didn't want Leon to find out this way however. She wanted to talk to him first. "I'm sorry Leon I really am"

Neil: Earth to Claire are you still with me?

Claire: Sorry Neil I just got distracted by one of those banners. This city has a lot to take in.
