Description (According to Homer Simpson, this is one of the three most important phrases in the English language.)

Just another reason why she's America's Most Misunderstood Superhero.

I may need to rework this; the direction of the light and tonality isn't quire right.

Great work. I know that's Powergirl but I have never understood her story.

I don't know if anyone actually does. A quick summary of what we know so far:

She's a parallel-universe Superman equivalent, taken from that (Earth Two, not to be confused with Earth-2) universe just before it was destroyed in "The Crisis on Infinite Earths". Some classify her as a second Supergirl; which may be true in terms of physical capabilities but not in personality or temperament. The major difference is that, while Superman was sent to earth as an infant and essentially raised a human, Power Girl was put in a ship as an infant but it took something like twenty years for her to get here (there? - it was to that parallel earth), during which time she was raised by a virtual-reality system to young adulthood (when did they have time to make that thing on an exploding planet, anyway?). Consequently, her people skills are a little sketchy, she has that Kryptonian arrogance about her, and she has a bit of an attitude problem.

(I was a little surprised to find that Power Girl was created early in 1974, and has been around more-or-less continuously for thirty-five years. Since the current Supergirl version 3.0 is a juvenile-the original 1959 version was killed off in 1985-Power Girl fills the gap for a Kryptonian female adult lead character.)

I like to think of her as having the powers of Superman, the body of Pamela Anderson, and the personality of Popeye; she really seems to enjoy solving problems with her fists.

Wikipedia has a surprisingly long biographical entry on her as well, which enumerates her multiple origin versions and many resultant story line contradictions. Some people really, really like her; some people really, really don't. But, at least she's an interesting character, and fun to look at. Which is nice.
