My boyhood home, one in which my maternal grandparents, my momma, sister, and myself lived until momma remarried in 2002. My grandparents moved into this house in 1984 or '85 and the house was already over 100 years old. It had been built originally in the 1870s, so is probably one of the oldest surviving structures in my hometown. Ofcourse it looks different from the original version now, with multiple owners adding to it. The protrusion off to the right is the kitchen, which was added later. What the "C" in the chimney means I don't know, maybe the initial of the family who originally owned it maybe. The old house was sold in 2021 after my grandfather died from cancer the previous year and grandma couldn't take care of it anymore. Many a fond memory was made in this old house, and I do miss it. Maybe I'm being too sentimental. Regards.
