woah? another ladies of the swarm piece? yep! it's finally here, mantis!mantis is another one of the, i guess 'unknown' ladies. she runs the "smart" hive, but that's all we know about her! what is her personality like? is she a cold uncaring scientist? or is she warm and open to know information and knowledge? hopefully in the next 2 books we'll see a bit of her, but who knows just yet!

I would also love to know about the other ladies. And I have a headcanon/au version of her that is a rightful ruler and is more loose on her hive. But she only cares about her hive and her citizens. But it would be silly if she is your cookie making nerd grandma but secretly a badass.

Your Ladies of the Swarm series makes me wanna give depth to each of the HiveWing ladies we haven't seen yet, honestly.
I imagine she's the latter of what you imagined though ("warm and open to information and knowledge") to contrast Bloodworm, who is the cruelest of Wasp's sisters according to Grayling. Mantis could be the kindest of Wasp's sisters.
