Great work it does look like ambient oclusion, was it 3dmax?

I made it in Cinema 4D. I used an infinite floor and an evenly illuminative sky to achieve this look. I rendered it with global illumination.

The whole scene is surrounded by a hemisphere with an illuminative material. And it is rendered with Global illumination.

how do you get the shading like that?
im guessing extremely high radius lamp, with many samples.
