Description
The Thing from Another World (1951 ) - a U. S. Air Force crew and scientists uncover a crashed flying saucer and some thing nearby frozen in the Arctic ice. Returning to their remote research outpost with the creature in a block of ice, they are forced to fight for their lives against a malevolent, plant-based, shape-shifting alien after it is accidentally revived. The film is based on the 1938 novella Who Goes There? by John W. Campbell.

And even if I had not read the book or seen film (horors gives me persistent nightmares ussualy far worse than source...if they would put this on film...), this would make me do a few steps backwards and call the police
