Description
Yes, they put Tasmanian devils back on mainland Australia, it's amazing and I didn't think it would happen within my lifetime. Like yeah I thought they would put European beavers back on the British Isles in my lifetime but I haven't even heard of anyone suggesting putting devils back until they actually did it. And I think this would be great for Australia's ecosystem. Like, no large native terrestrial predators have survived on mainland Australia in historic times, with the Tasmanian devil and Thylacine being the only ones to have survived into historic ages, and by then they only existed in Tasmania, wiped off the mainland, and then the thylacine died out entirely. Devils would be able to put things back in order and control prey animal populations, perhaps they're a bit too small to take on a red kangaroo but still. And hopefully their presence will deter the invasive cats and foxes that have hunted native wildlife to near extinction, or total extinction in some species. And while mainland Australia may never again see Varanus priscus (Megalania) or Quinkana stalk the outback, we will at least see the return of one native apex predator. The return of the king.Wedge tailed eagles are still cool though.

Sadly, that behavior of theirs would make them vulnerable. Some species have already adapted to aggressive animals, and with the continuous introduction of other invasive species the Tasmanian Devil will likely(maybe) go extinct again on the mainland.
