Description Another set of Dinosaur portraits. Raptors this time!

I didn't include Tsagaan and Linheraptor due to them being fairly similar to Velociraptor. And while some view Bambiraptor as a juvenile Sauronitholestes. There's not a lot of skull reference for Sauronitholestes so I settled for Bambiraptor.

Not to scale

I love the differences between the heads and eyes, the thing i like the most are the eyes, pretty expressive ^_^

Those eyes look pretty big on some of them, doesn't the actual eye itself go inside of the Sclerotic ring? (excuse my ignorance if im wrong i don't really do much research on the eyes of raptors).

I'm definitely not an expert on this. But as far as I know the sclerotic ring is part of and inside the eye. So the eye diameter should be larger than the sclerotic ring. Though the visible part of the eye would probably be smaller.

Actually, it doesn't work like that. You can see in a Gallus gallus skeleton that the sclerotic ring has a much larger diameter than the visible eye. That's because the ring surrounds the diameter of the iris, and in birds the eye is visible only to the end of the iris and the sclera (at least in most cases) remains covered. In these drawings the iris is almost the size that the sclerotic ring should supposedly have, and that makes it look like the creatures have immense eyes. The eyes are wrong.

Alright I'll look into it. Though I'm not sure it will happen, but if I revisit this I might make some corrections if needed. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks! I based much of the eyes on those of predatory birds.
