Scar was furious.

The escape of half the Pride -HIS Pride- has been discovered by Shenzi, in the morning. Some hyenas tried to stop them but Tojo and Chumvi were to strong for them, so they made pityfully their report to Scar.
He was totally ashamed. Since his childhood, nobody had never respect him. He thought, by becoming the new King, that he would gain some respect... but it seemed it was only a dream.
However, Sarabi, Sarafina, Nala and Malka were still there. He wanted to make them paid the treason of their friends - and family. Sarabi had already lost a mate, and two cubs. Sarafina still had Nala, and the young lionness looked so like her mother that a terrible idea grew up in Scar's head. Nala had certainly helped her aunt, her friends and Sarabi's sisters to flee; she had enough stomach to stand against her King. But now, the punition's time had come.

A week after the events, Scar approached Nala with a smile. She was with Malka, talking about useless things.

"Hello, dear Nala." he interrupted them.

She stopped talking and looked at him suspiciously. Malka seemed unsure about the issue of the conversation, too, but said nothing.

"What do you want, Scar ? " she asked nervously, trying to control herself. He could feel her fear and anger.
"Oh, nothing, really." he assured, grinning. "I just want you to bear my cub... my heir."
"You already have Nuka ! And I'd never have cubs with you. You disgust me." Nala said, her voice shaking.
"How dare you ask her to... You old perverted lion ! You had Hasira, Sarabi, Sarafina, Zira is your mate, you have a son and you still ask Nala to bear your cubs ?! " Malka exploded, his eyes filled with rage.
"I don't need your advice, young lion. Don't worry, I'll personally take care of you... later." Scar said, growling. "Nala, dear Nala... you're in no position to refuse. Unless you want your loyal friend to... disappear."

Nala was now crying. She didn't want Malka to die for her. But she didn't want to be the mate of an old cruel lion like Scar. He wasn't able to make anyone happy, she saw it with her mother, Sarabi and Zira... However, she didn't have the right to let Malka die.
Feeling Nala's disordered feelings, Malka took a big breath and said:

"Anyway, you can't have her now... She's pregnant."
"What ?" Scar laughed. "I don't trust you. It's a lie to save her."
"No, it's not. Why would I stay with her if she wasn't bearing my cubs ? Didn't you understand, after all these years ? I'm in love with her, and she loves me too. We'll be parents. So you can't have her." Malka lied, looking Scar in the eyes without fail.
"Is that true ?" Scar asked to Nala, growing of rage.

Nala was embarassed. Of course she knew Malka loved her... since their cubhood. But she didn't love him. Or, at least, she loved him like a brother. But it wasn't time to think about it. She had to enter Malka's game.

"Yeah." she answered. "I guess you won't insist now ?"
"I won't. But if in the following months I don't see the tail of a cub, I swear you won't escape so easily." Scar said.

He had no choice but to trust them. After all, before the birth of the cubs, he could kill Malka to prevent another pregnancy. And he could try to have cubs with Zira; she was still able to be pregnant. But he was hoping she wouldn't fail to give him a proper heir this time.
