That's what Zira was wondering.

After Hasira's death, Scar decided to take Sarabi as his new mate. After all, she was the previous Queen. Everybody loved her.

But, fearing a new useless daughter, he convinced Sarafina to bear his child. At this time, no one knew about Sarabi's pregnancy. And when the news spread, it was too late.

Of course, Sarabi and Sarafina get angry toward Scar when they knew. But what could they do ? Nothing. So, when the cubs born, they took care of them. Scar named his and Sarabi's daughter Tamaa, and his son Mheetu. Finally, he had a son. And a healthy one.

Zira's heart was filled with pure hate.
