The sky is unbelievable! Dark blue in the day time! I loved Cuba, there's something about it that makes you fall in love with the people, the weather and the island...

This photo kinda reflects the state of Cuba, it's very beautiful but a bit rusty...
The colors look amazing, all those differnt shades of blue and the brownish red of the rust... gorgeous!

You captured some beautiful colors here. I like how the orange rust is echoed in the gull's beak before your eye trails out to sea.

These colors are amazing. I think the strongest element of your composition is the warm browns of the wood peir in the foreground contrasting with the blues of the background. You did an amazing job!

Excellent work once again +olya , your camera skills are making me jealous. The description and title are quick applicable to this photo and give it added meaning as well.

The first thing I notice when looking at it in full view is that the blues are awful dark compared to the reds of the dock. At first this seemed like a negative thing, until I realized that the deeper blues seemed to be almost as "warming" as the reds and oranges in the wooden planks. I think if the blue sky was bright and full of life, this piece wouldn't be nearly as good as it is.

I do like your focus of the bird, which really is the center point of this photograph, thus the name including "freedom." At any time this bird could just fly away to freedom. The way the angle is, the dock creates an interesting angled line that isn't your typical "straight out" look. It also allows a gradient to flow, both in the blue and red colors, which is my favorite part of it.

Overall I'm impressed. Probably not your best work, but it's unique and expressive, which always makes a photograph better.

It's beautiful. I love the cool color of the ocean against the warmth of the rusty bars. It's lovely how the ocean is a light aqua nbthat fades to a dark indigo blue near the horizon. It gives one a feeling of summer at the Caribbean Sea. Gorgeous.

Yes, it definately focuses on the bird.

Nice transition of colors from top to bottom.

The never-ending ocean depresses me a bit, but that's just me; the only times I have ever been to the beach have been in New England = COLD.

Reminds me of the halifax piers after the hurricane went through. Strangely enough, the effect here is likely because of a hurricane also, the only major differance being the clarity and cleanliness of the water.

Powerful metaphor that runs through the rusting and rotting docks that only a bird could possibly stand on...all the way out the 93 miles of distance that bridges one land to another, marked by this beautiful variation of aquamarine colors.

Ah, a beautiful photo Olya. I love the contrasts in this image. Much more then just colours it seems. The most poignant one I see is how calm the bird is seemingly against the age and destruction of the dock. It's like we have all this rust, and age and you eyes follow this line all the way to the bird to which you're greeted with something alive within the wreckage, something bright and almost "above" it all. Then you gaze falls upon the water and it only leads way to a sea of endless possibilities.

My fav out of all your cuba pics.
