I did the first version of this composition almost two years ago in anticipation for the release of Zelda - Twilight Princess. You can view the original here: [link]The game has been out for a few months now and I dug the old psd file out and decided to screw around with it. As you can see, I've made some improvements. I like this version better.
This is what happens on a lazy Saturday.
Photoshop, working from another Photoshop-and-pencil scan underlay. About 4 hours for the original (I can't remember too well...that's a good guess), about two hours to re-work it.

You succeeded in representing perfectly the beauty and the despair of the princess in twilight princess. 
It is the most beautiful drawing of the princess whom I saw until now. It is really pleasant to look at. I like much the details of the dress and the harmony of the colors

This looks very familiar. From the commercial of Windwaker. Don't you remember where this girl says something like: "A boy goes on an adventure to save ... (upclose of her hooded face) ....me." It was a few years ago, but for those who have played and beaten Windwaker would know that "Zelda" was NOT wearing a hooded cloak in a room like this one. If any one knows what I'm talking about, send me a message.

When I saw the first clips of Zelda in Twilight Princess in the cloak, I thought of the Wind Waker commercial too. I'm not sure how intentional that was on Nintendo's part, since, as far as I know, that commercial for Wind Waker ran mostly in North American movie theatres and was composed by Nintendo of America. Either way, it was Nintendo copying Nintendo, so no harm done.

The old one was very nice. It had it's own mood to it that we've all been thinking about. But this one has it's own appealing value as well. The coloring has the Twilight air in it very well.
