Oh my, Brit. This is why I love you.
The eerie mood, the facial expression. It makes me think of WW2 military experiments, or something out of a b-movie.
Lovely capture.

You know...this makes me wonder about how the grain compares to Ilford and kodak's 1600 film....and if I can push fomapan to 1600 or 3200

Hey, have you ever shot IR film?
Do you think a Red R2 filter is dark enough? Or would I need a 25 or something even stronger? I keep trying to find out on line and most websites are not being very helpful -_-

I've yet to try IR film...it's hella expensive
I've been told that you can use a deep red filter [link] ....but it doesn't say that it's suited to IR work on it's page, the Red R2 does but it only cuts the light by 2 stops vs the Deep red's 3....strange I'd either hit up the photography forum or [link]
If you want some of the "good stuff" I'd check out Efke's brand of Ir film [do a search on freestyle, I'm on a mac at the moment and I'm confused ...oh and I think it mentions what kind of filters you can use on efke's ir film page thingy...] it's supposed to be like kodak's HIE film...although, freestyle seems to have gotten a bad batch at the moment....or something. I don't remember what thread it is on apug but some people are complaining about some specks on the emulsion...and others say they've never gotten a bad emulsion [from the same batch number]. I've heard Ilford SFX doesn't really do that much, and rollie's is alright....I'm sure you can find examples on flickr or apug of each. I know there's one guy who used those three brands but I'm not on my computer so I don't have the bookmark....
Freestyle has examples in their catalog.....I'll scan them in and show you when I get home...or tomorrow

Efke [link]
Rollie [link]
Ilford [link]
as you can see...Ilford gives the least IR effect....and a little something of interest [link]
Something wrong with Efke? [link]
