I too am an old otaku. We used to watch Ranma 1/2 on betamax tapes sent to us from Japan with nhk commercials and no subs.

I've still got old VHS tapes recorded off of Teletoon of MTV's "The Max". One of the most interesting not to mention adult animated series ever made in North America. I'd do anything to get a modern DVD version of this but sadly they've never made it available.
The same is true of the six episode Manga "Angel Cop" collection and MTV's "Spicy City" mini-series. But apparently they're never going to be rescued either! sigh........
I've also got an old VHS tape of both "Galaxy Express 999" movies back when they were first shown on Cdn. cable TV in Extended Play no less. (At the time I figured SP which would have required two tapes was too expensive!)

i LOVE the background and light in this! the figure is great, but what makes this striking is the unconventional choice of weather (i love the bright FL sunshine before a good storm. n_n)
