Description
Entry for ~mistieredpanda 's contest. The goal was to design a "missing link" between two existing pokemon. Acopteryx (Archaeopteryx+copter) is the link between the Treecko and Spearow families. Typing is Flying/Grass. It's single stage. I was inspired to do this by the way Grovyle looks.Related content

great to see a pokΓ©mon honouring one of the most famous transition species. nice original pokΓ©mon man. to me 'fakemon' sounds kinda unflattering since a lot of them are rly good ideas XD

Did you base this off of the microraptor? I just watched a show about it. It is a four-winged dinosaur that some people believe is the missing link between dinosaurs and birds. Cool design by the way

Nope. its a dinosaur that they discovered a bit ago in China or something. Archeopteryx only have the usual two sets of wings. And youre very welcome

Oh well I blame Google, I did an image search for Archeopteryx and I did see different kinds of forms but this was my favorite. Miniraptor it is, but unless you have another name idea, I'm sticking with this one.

No the name is great. I just thought it was cool because I just watched a show about Microraptor and then I saw this which reminds me so much of it. The cool thing about Pokemon is that you have some room for interpretation. Crobat has four wings and is based on a bat even though no species of bat has four wings.
