Origins
During the Monster Wars trilogy of episodes, an alien race known as the Tachyons recovered the body of the original Godzilla that had attacked New York in 1998 and converted it into a cyborg dubbed Cyber-Godzilla. Cyber-Godzilla now possessed a blue atomic ray and in one episode attacked Tokyo, an obvious homage to the Japanese Godzilla.
