well this is from the 5th season of transformers, japan only, i noticed this when watching it, but doesn't this view strikingly resemble Megaman X and Zero? or am i nuts to think X and Zero were based off of 1980's cartoon characters? transformer Masterforce.Related content

They DO look alike in ways. Minus the Horns on the blue, THEN it would look like X. Plus a head jewel for the girl. If ONLY Megaman X & Transformers Crossed over.

Actually, you could be correct.
Keiji Inafune admitted in an interview that the original Mega Man and Protoman's appearance was largely based off of Speed Racer and Racer X's appearances when they remove their helmets.
So X and Zero could very well be modelled after these two.

I got to admit, the resemblance, is uncanny. Maybe one of those, blanitly obvious references? Being them, with out actually, being them? if that makes any sense.

Believe or not, Megaman was inspired on Astro Boy (words of Inafune).
Zero, on X series, supose to be the X itself, but Inafune fear what the gamers would not like of the changing (the color and design), so he was turned on "Zero" and was created "X."

The person who Designed Zero may of Seen that Cartoon. he looks more like Zero From X2 and up. But X is not based on them at all He is Just and Upgraded Design of Megaman. and Zero from MMX1 has rounded shoulders.

i never got how zero's design changed so much fomr X to Z, since x6 shows him (ina future event) going into statsis for 100 years, as X zero yet he comes out in MMZ1 as a new redesigned zero? i dunno I prefer the bulky X Zero design more
