Heyy, so this was a very very very VERY late commission for the amazing .I'm so lucky you were still so nice and patient for me to finish your commission ! Thank you so much.
It took me a while to get back into the Invader Zim flow of things again, I am not used to drawing the cartoony style anymore so I hope my weird mix of cartoon anatomy is ok. XD
As you can see Zim has put on his space suit ! x) So they can go explore space together and have lots of adventures. :>
I am not sure if this is romantic enough like you wanted it to be, but in the first place Zim is not a feelsy type of character to me anyway. I think he'll show his love more in this way. By going on a dangerous adventure through space. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ At least they are holding hands, sort of.
Ah, I hope you like it nevertheless. Always fun to mess around with galaxy-like backgrounds like in the old days. ~

I remember doubting my choices on this piece a lot since you wanted something romantic for the commission but I found it quite hard to portray Zim in such way. XD
I wanted to keep things canon like you said indeed. I'm glad you like my choice~
