Finishing up my tumblr request call with Virion and Sully. Though it ended up being Sully and Virion more aesthetically. I hope that's cool! For harblkun .Maybe I'm getting old, but it's hard for me to lay on OTP claim to anyone in Awakening. It's like, I'll hook up people who I'd figured would be incredibly improbable and think "Heh I'll get some lawls from this" but then the writers just make it entirely endearing anyway. Shoot, man, I love all of them.

Hmm. This is tough. I have to say I'm hesitant on having my work attached to creative projects I'm not affiliated with. It's certainly a compliment, and I'm grateful that you came and asked first, but I'm afraid I will have to decline. This was a special gift for someone else, so I want to at least respect that.

Aaaaahhhh yes this came out gorgeous!! Gosh they look awesome in your style, I love the way you stylize Sully's hair, captures the messy spiky look while seeming more streamlined. Their expressions are perfect and I love their body language, Sully standing so stiffly and gripping the arrow and broken bow with tense frustration, and Virion leaning over so much more smoothly and calmly to try and figure out what's going on; the poses and interaction are so natural and really show what the characters are thinking. The detail on the props and armor is gorgeous too, love the clean simple look of the bow and arrows and the carefully drawn folds in Virion's cravat and the way his elbow guard fits the shape of his arm. Everything looks so clean and bold and bright and the small amounts of shading really bring out the shapes of the armor!
I'm thrilled you drew a whole background too, the bales of hay frame the scene really nicely and the perspective on the targets and atmospheric mist in the woods really give a sense of space and depth to the environment. The shapes of the targets and hay bales look so big and bold and chunky, I love them. The greens make the palette feel harmonized and the bright reds and blues of the characters really make them pop out against the faded green tint of the scenery. Gosh thank you so much for putting so much effort into this, everything's so carefully drawn and it looks awesome!
(I told Harby already so I can say all this now, but thank you for keeping it a surprise gift as well.

The one thing I see in what Sully art there is (aside from Virion) is that Sully looks ATTRACTIVE. Her character portrait just turned me right off when I saw itΒ for the first time; it's like she's sneering or has weird glazed expression I can't quite place and all of Chrom's other potentialΒ brides at least have decent angle to show off a pretty face. Which is a shame considering that her character model is a very pretty one even before she upgrades, it's like they're trying to keep you from pairing her with someone.
Btw, did she squeeze it the grip so hard it broke or did she draw too much on the string?

Gosh, it's precious and so very perfect! I especially love the little tweaks for Sully's version of the archer outfit, and their wonderful expressions, and the body language, and the colors and...auuuugh. xD; It's fantastic. Thank you so much!

I think if you're getting old, so am I. I have the same problem. I kept thinking "this'll be a random pairing" but it turned out I was wrong and it wasn't so random. They are all filled with awesome.
