About the Set:

This doll was started on Friday March 7 for the KiSS Theme Challenges #4. I had abandoned the KiSS community for a while (real life got in the way) and along with it, the KTC. Otaku World forum member, grEEEn, posted a thread about it, Ruthless suggested the theme, and everyone just ran with it. I hadn't intended to make a set for it, but figured I could throw something together quickly. As usual, my ideas of "quickly" usually drags out into months and months of work, but at least I can get it done.

I still had no idea what to call the set up until a week before finishing, so I was asking Felix Kramer for suggestions. He jokingly threw out "Pissy the Pirate" because of the sour look on her face and I couldn't think of a good reason why not. So Pissy she is.

I didn't really have a clear concept in mind for her - I guess sort of a fashionable modern pirate with very mild gothic lolita influences at times? It's all sort of a mish-mash. I wanted to add a lot more features to the set including multiple palettes, a ton more accessories, and definitely more hair. Unfortunately, I ran out of time. I may go back and update this set some time because it does feel unfinished to me, but I don't know if there will be any sort of demand for it, so probably not.

My reason for going with FKiss4 in this set when I could have used a lower coding level like on previous sets is two-fold. First, I ran out of time. I have entirely too much stuff going on to sit there and code the "reset wardrobe" button using the old method. Using Fkiss4 required, literally, something like 3 lines of code, plus several more for a creative work-around, but still far less than the alternative. Second, I'm just not worried about backward compatibility anymore. Fkiss 4 exists to make coding easier for us, so I choose to embrace it. There are at least 2 viewers out there that can support it (though I haven't tested the set in UltraKiSS) and a lot of people can use those. More will probably move to that in the future. Trying to keep Fkiss level down, I believe, stunts the innovation of KiSS coding, even if it makes it more accessible for the time being.

Click the "turn snap-to on/off" button to, well, turn snap-to on or off.

Click the "reset wardrobe" button to quickly undress the doll and put everything back where it belongs.
