I made this tutorial originally for a friend who wanted advice on hair shading, but a couple of deviants have asked about how I shade hair so.....here it is!! I doubled it up as my 1000 page views picture since I'm working hard on a drawing right now and don't have enough time to draw another pic!!THANKS FOR 1000 VIEWS!!!
This was all done on paint tool SAI, but I reccomend Photoshop or GIMP if you're aiming for more realism - dodge and burn is really the best technique for that
um....my first tutorial!!! And little Tarragon makes a sketchy appearance at the bottom ^.^

very good shading ! I think you're better than me ! but for shading fur, how do you would do ? pepoles always tells me that I do realy great shadings so...
