Description
This is for the ZADR contest going on for soundtracks. Most of you have seen this. It's the fanmix for Rilzit, but, it does have to do with ZADR. Below each song I will give lyrics as well as what happened to make us choose that song(an excerpt from the fic) it's pretty much like a description. Please see it as such.------
01. Adema - Freaking Out
-Dib's hands clenched at his sides and his head bowed for a few moments before he finally snapped much like he had with Zim. He lashed out and tackled his father out of the chair to the cold lab floor, his fists had raised and he had begun punching at any clear part of Membrane's body he could breaking the goggle's in the process considering the old man was trying to shield himself from his 'insane son'.

02. Dashboard Confessional - Vindicated
-With practiced motions that made the Irk shudder Zim dialed in the channel manually rather than ask the computer to pull up the frequency. They had blocked him long ago, but still, he tried. He'd try again and again speaking into the mic until his voice grew horse and it hurt too much to do much else than breath.

03. Balligomingo - Falling
-Zim curled around Dib, even if he was the one feeling tired and cold he wanted to keep the boy close to him, as if the boy would suddenly disappear or run away if his grip eased up. Maybe he would, though he kept assuring the Irk he wouldn't. One arm curled possessively around Dib's middle while the other held his shoulders tucking the boy's head
under his chin if let.
-Dib was more than happy to let Zim hold him even going so far as to move back against the irken when the arm was wrapped around him. The fingers in his hair caused a relaxing sound to come from him and all his worries to finally leave his head, at least for the moment.

04. Jem - Come On Closer
-Long had that possessive purr reverberated from the alien's throat but the tightening of fingers on his antennie had it louder and more prominent. This was far too wicked fun than was most likely healthy, but that's just what made it all the more exciting. The best part was Dib had no argument against it, the sounds he made seeming the farthest things from arguing.
-Dib was starting to shake lightly because of the ecstasy he was feeling. His eyes would flutter open only to close a split second later. He wanted to make Zim feel as good as he was feeling, to feel everything. He moved his head a bit away from the irken's mouth, his free hand moving out to grasp the other antenna stroking it lightly before bringing it to his mouth, his tongue moving out to lick the base and up to the tip before sucking on it.

05. Closure - Look Out Below
-"Then you had to come along as always, Dib-human, and 'fucked' things up as usual. There wasn't just trying, there was now success." He lightly scoffed. "You had to go and make victory possible.. and then suddenly, I wanted more. I wanted it. I wanted to do what I could never do. I still had some time. But you wanted feelings, you wanted me. I gave it my all- but you still whine. Ignorant stink-waste. I know you heard me calling them.. I know you know. I broke the radio silence of three years.. pleading them to talk to me, to give me more Rilzit, just a little more.. just- just..." Zim's voice cut and he looked down, he didn't bother clearing his throat.
-"Because I wanted to ignore it!" He hadn't meant to shout, but he couldn't help it, all of this was eating at him. The truth was hurting him, he didn't want to believe any of it, but knew in the end he had to. "I wanted to let you have things your way. I thought it was about the fucking mission, I thought you were trying to get back in their good graces or some shit like that! I just thought you were too stubborn, I didn't know this is what it was all about! You would never
tell me anything! How was I supposed to know when you always changed the subject? How was I to know what would happen when all of this started? I'm not a god damn mind reader Zim!"

06. Muse - Endlessly
-He bared his teeth and shut his eyes forcing his voice to scream "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" He continued on until the three words didn't make sense anymore in their repetitive order and his voice cracked from the abuse.
-Dib's hands that had stayed behind Zim made their way up as best they could toward the irken's shoulders, gripping whatever they could reach causing Zim to stop his rant. When he spoke his voice was low, but otherwise even. "And I love you. I love you so much that I couldn't stop loving you even if I tried. You know the difference between what we feel Zim? One of us actually feels the emotion we're shouting, while the other is just lying through their teeth and always will be."

07. Simple Plan - Untitled
-Dib had looked with horrified eyes at the wound he had caused, the weapon falling from his hands when the blood begin pouring out. All the thoughts of how he could ever hurt Zim ran out of his head as soon as they entered when the scream was heard and that spike hit his back, his own pained scream joining Zim's.
-A clack and metal arms retracted themselves from their attack. The wet squelch of metal leaving flesh caused the Irk's spooch to reel and for a moment those cookie heads almost visited him a second time. Zim held his eyes wide, starring, starring.

08. Lifehouse - Breathing
-"Why did he do it? If he knew he couldn't fucking kill me then why did he do it? Am I just some punching bag for him? I take it all and never push back, that's the best thing about me right?" Dib could feel the tears coming but he refused to wipe them away, no one was there to mock him for them anyway.
-Hot, aching eyes closed, sealing shut the searing inside. Slowly Zim tilted back his head until the back touched the bed. Thickly he swallowed before he let his lids draw languidly enough so he could stare up catching just a little of the boy above on the bed. Faintly the Irk could hear the quickened beat from the lowered head set, the sound of a heart sped to bring the blood to cheeks, to compensate for
the swell in chest, the ache inside that crushed the straining muscle that never stopped since it's creation; perseverance. Ha.

09. Breaking Benjamin - Rain
-Dib was becoming groggy, just laying there so close to Zim was so relaxing compared to all alone in a bed with no one around. The small noise that came from the irken was putting him to sleep even more and he moved closer as if wanting to hear more of it.
-Zim frowned disapprovingly in the frey of dark hair. He rubbed his features lightly nuzzling until his lips pressed against scalp. There he stayed for a good long time, his thin arched figure supporting the equally thin but fragile frame of the other. So off, days ago he cussed this and now he sighed happily to have it back.

10. Aqualung - Brighter Than Sunshine
-Zim tugged Dib to himself, minding the wounds as best he could, leaning the other's back against his chest where he could wrap arms possessively around the boy, either of his legs on bending on guard on either side of him. "Nothing can stop us. I refuse it. I'll bite everyone of their heads off that try. I won't lose. I won't lose this." He growled lightly against Dib's hair.

11. The All American Rejects - Dirty Little Secret
-The Irk leaned down to press his lips lightly against the upside down ones below. He let the kiss linger a second, perhaps relishing in the nervous shock the other might have over such a sudden action. When Zim lifted his head again he gave a wry soft of perk of lips. ".. Don't tell Zim I did that."
-Shock could have been an understatement for how Dib felt in that moment. It was such a sudden turn of events that when it happened all he could do was sit there and let it happen, his eyes the only thing that moved as they widened behind his lenses. He didn't even realize Zim's lips had left his own until the irken had spoken. He blinked a few times trying to take it all in before he gave his own amused smile,
a hand raising much like it had earlier to rub at the tip of an
antenna. "Fine, your secret is safe with me."

12. Jem - They
-Dib's gaze fell once more to the floor and silence formed around them once again with those last words. Without another thought he begin to walk towards the elevator. Before he was even past Zim his hand that was closest to the irken reached out between them just to lightly brush
over the gloved one near him, fingers gripping claws and just as quickly letting go as if the action had never happened. After that his steps were quick and in just a few more steps he was on the elevator pushing the button for the house level, not even looking Zim's way as the doors closed.
-Zim waited until the drum of the elevator bringing its passenger dissipated, muffled away by layers of dead empty rooms and dirt, before he let his eyes slowly, finally, slide open. He raised his hand, that hand, up into his hazy line of vision; a scratched, worn, off black glove that form fitted to curved, claw like fingers. Tightly he clenched his hand but pins and needles kept him from doing so. Instead that hand met the wall hard, smashing with a satisfying wet crunch.
Biting hard on tongue, lips and cheek Zim recoiled his hand back, doubling in on the pain; god how he hated pain.

13. Jem - Missing You
-Dib narrowed his eyes. It was so hard to care for someone and worry about someone when they hardly wanted it. Especially after everything that had happened and had been lied about. Pushing himself back to his feet Dib let out an annoyed sigh. "Whatever Zim. Lay here and suffer then."
-Zim didn't want to 'lay there and suffer'. Cheeks heated up against the Irk's will and the delayed trickle from his eyes only made the twisting pang inside worse in his insides that felt like gelatin. "AND yer ugly!" Zim shouted after Dib, his voice cracking; it was far from what he wanted to say. But the boy left anyway and Zim gave in, going limp, he layed there and suffered.

14. TATU - Perfect Enemy
-The first character of Dib's name if it were to be spelt in the Irken alphabet, the letter that was traced upon the boy's cheek; like on the door, like on Dib's cheek so many times before. "Before before." The Irk's hand fell back down to where it had risen from. "When I first came." Zim turned his head from the other's, looking away. "Just Zim and a Dib." Away the small thin body pulled from Dib's arms, tired and slow. ".. when you were just my enemy."

15. Frou Frou - It's Good To Be In Love
-"I think you're a very intelligent being." After that sentence Dib leaned forward to give a quick kiss to the alien only to pull away and continue. "You're ruthless," Another kiss. "I still believe you can become the complete ruler of Earth." He leaned in for another kiss, but this one a bit longer than the other two before he pulled away, a slight grin on his face when he spoke again. "And I'm very glad that I fell in love with someone as amazing as you."
-That wasn't so bad. No, it wasn't bad at all. In the comfort of security, in the comfort of privacy, in something that the Irk hadn't had for quite sometime he might even consider it - nice; maybe.

16. Vast - Don't Take Your Love Away
-Very very subtly bandaged claws peeked from the mouth of long sleeves and with even slower meek motion moved to touch just a piece, just a part of Dib, any part, any portion; though to have the other move away in the slightest Zim knew he'd be utterly destroyed. Assurance; anything, that's all he needed. How..? ... How much do you love me?
-A chance for recognition, and all he had to give up was Dib. Just the thought had a sudden chocked sound coming from the teen right as the alien's covered hand moved towards him. His wide eyes blinked a few times, hazed and on the verge of tears. He didn't want to let go.

17. Staind - Right Here
-A loud shaky breath escaped Dib and words followed, words that he never thought he would have admitted to Zim. Feelings that he always felt, but always refused to say out loud. "....I'm scared."
-Zim faltered as his own mind got ahead of him. Slowly he chanced a small glance Dib's way. Don't crack, don't fall apart now, please, don't- if you do- I won't be able to- ".. I won't let them hurt you." Such familiar words, he tried so hard to mean them; funny, how he didn't know why anymore.

18. The Servant - Cells
-A flick of tongue ran along the boney ridges of Dib's back. "Do you accept utter submission and pledge allegiance to no one but Zim?" Though he spoke against skin he made it a point to speak quite clearly, slipping his hands from the boy's hips to lightly draw along sides to slip under his shirt to possessively claw against skin.
-Dib's whole body shuddered and trembled with each touch, kiss, and lick that Zim placed on him. The feelings numbing his mind for a few moments and causing him to forget exactly why they were even in such a
position. His hands that had been holding his shirt let go to fall to his sides as he moved forward a bit more just as he was told, not really even realizing he did so. Dib heard some of the words being spoken, or tried to at least. They made sense in a fuzzy sort of way and even then he had an idea of what he was getting himself into. When he spoke his voice came out as a whisper, but something the irken would
easily pick up. "I accept..."

19. Jem - 24
-Eyes darted away from Zim as Dib tried to figure out what he hadn't done yet. What he needed to do. Something that was important that he wouldn't get a chance to do while he was in that hell hole. Just as quickly as he thought it came to him and it had him looking back at the irken with sad eyes. In small steps his feet led him over to other until he was standing in front of Zim, he stared at him a moment until words came out breathless in the large room they were in.
Echoing just slightly. "I love you..."
-Zim didn't look up at Dib, maybe it was that strange Irken pride with that inane belief in height, but his eyes kept forward after the boy spoke. He opened his mouth as if to say something but his mouth closed and nothing was said. A slight tweak of lips and the Irk closed his eyes with a slight 'heh'. Zim was quiet another moment, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence, maybe Dib knew why and why not; the boy was good like that.

20. Three Days Grace - Let You Down
-Dib was expecting harsh treatment yes, but when he felt the metal against his already injured skin it had him almost letting out a horrible scream. He had to literally bite his tongue to keep from making any sounds at all. There had to be blood, if there wasn't then it would be a miracle.
-Zim had flinched in from the sound and it had him staggering back a few steps as if he himself were hit. His eyes shot wide and he wobbled on unsteady legs, eyes starring unblinkingly. In all honesty he hadn't expected such violent treatment, so soon. The Tallest were known for
being cold, curt and merciless but he had never seen this- cruel.

-His hands so tempted to grip the bars, lowered their poise and Zim was forced to back away though he didn't back down. "I won't say it." He added evenly before slowly shaking his head "I refuse." But I'd like to hear you say it one last time... maybe..?

-The appendage pulled back only to shoot forward and embed itself deep into Zim's left shoulder, through fabric, skin, and muscle alike just
to appear inches on the other side. "Scream for us Zim..."
-Zim's hand with such a painfully tight grip, allowed his jaw to relax and all else decisively. Then, with his eyes obediently pinned on his leaders, he violently plunged the sharp metal limb deeper into his shoulder; and as his own blood splattered behind himself, Zim let the scream past his lips. He couldn't keep it inside anymore inside, even if he wanted to.

23. Metric - Combat Baby
- "Don't do that.." Zim spoke in such a pathetic attempt at a casual tone, it cracked. "Argue. Yell. Call me 'you jerk'." A hand snuck out to try and claim itself around Dib's wrist but instead it simple gave the other's hand a meek nudge "Disobey. Try to thwart me. Chase after Zim and... be Dib. Be Dib, and always be Dib." Some how courage had finally given the Irk strength to grasp the boy's wrist, giving a tug to coax him back over. "So I know that Zim hasn't completely.. brokeded you."

-Gloved hands shifted, as if they'd slip around and grasp arms about the boy's neck but instead they slipped away "You whine too much, and you're clingy. You look like a broom stick and you're just as sweepy." Zim stepped away but his fingers had managed to cling to Dib's sides, so he kept his head and gaze down. ".... I hate you so much. You
stupid, idiotic, moronic, pig skin...hate.. a lot." Zim's hands fell away.
-Before the alien's hands could fall away completely Dib reached down and grabbed them both in his own. "No you don't. You don't hate me. You may think every single one of those things about me, but you don't hate me."

25. Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything(About You)
-Scratched and worn gloves lazily waved over Zim's shoulder at Dib "..You're also overly mellow dramatic, whiney, clingy, worthless and you smell like dookie." The hand pointed before flopping back infront of the Irk. "And your head just looks huge and unbalanced with out that lil" he wiggled his fingers "thing" his hand flared before pointing "on your grease smear of dirt hair there." The hand flopped back down, Zim all tired out of insults.
-Dib blinked his eyes a few times before looking back at Zim. For seconds he stared once again until his eyes narrowed and he turned his body around, kneeling while facing the Irken. "My head's not big, Space Boy!" The last two words were said with pure venom instead of affection like the last time they were said in the cell. "At least I'm not some
short, egotistical, stubborn, stuck up prick of an Invader that can't do anything right and lies all the time to himself!"

26. Adema - Unstable
-For moments Dib stood there in that same position, his whole body trembling. His fist sometimes moved towards the button until finally he let out a frustrated noise and his fist pounded against the metal door. He slowly slid down till he was sitting on his knees and his palm was pressed against the door as it slid down with him. His eyes were closed and his voice came out choked when he spoke. "Why can't I just
forget about you?!"

27. Muse - Time Is Running Out
-Dib tensed up when the bandages were torn away and his whole body jerked when the sharp teeth grazed the still healing wound around his neck. For a few seconds his own teeth quit working at Zim's antenna as the pain went through his body, but he easily got over it and let out a
small noise that sounded more than pleased.
-Colored eyes flicked down admiring the history of scars taken to the boy's body, the new bite marks would only add to decor soon; the wonderful thing about scars, is no one can tell the good ones from the bad ones.

This is a LOT more than 12 songs O_O; And while there's no doubt these are all fitting for Rilzit, they're not all ZADR.
For example, the 1st one is describing Dib's relationship with his father. The 2nd and 22nd are about Zim's relationship with his Tallests. These could have been removed for the sake of the contest.

A relationship has a lot more to do with the whole than the two people themselves-- it's about WHY they are, how they live, their life story.. what brought them to the conclusion of who they have summed up to be in the end and who they're with and why.
Like Kitteh has said, it has a lot to do with the story itself. Which indeed does come full circle to ZADR itself.

But the soundtrack wouldn't have been a complete soundtrack without them and the covers were already made.
In the first one Dib gave up his life and pretty much did what he did for Zim. You don't read Rilzit. This I know. I didn't put in more paragraphs so it's a little sketchy on what that part is about.
The 2nd one also has a meaning behind it as to why Zim pretty much breaks down. Pretty much everything in the story does come full circle back to ZADR.
If I explained the 22nd one it would be a spoiler so I won't.
