This picture is beautiful, and because I know the song (it's one of my absolute favourites), this picture also makes me want to cry.
In the song, it talks about how the singer failed to save his friend from committing suicide, and how he should have seen the signs, and that he knows what to look for now. I really love the symbolism of Silver's face being hidden. I'm assuming he's the lost friend? And Blaze was the one who failed to see that he was depressed.
Your vision is very clear, it's really easy to see what you were going for. Blaze is terribly upset about the loss of Silver, and Silver's face is hidden, and he is covered in shadows, implying that he's gone to her. Blaze's expression is perfect, you can see her anguish and regret.
I'd love to give you full points for originality... But it's still Fanart, so I can't... ;-;
Your technique is amazing! The way it's shaded, and lighted, is so perfect! It's a bit sketchy, but it's obvious that it's meant to be that way. It's loose, and has a feel of being somewhat unfinished, but still looks complete, if that makes any sense~
The impact you had on me, at least, with this picture is huge. You did such a fantastic job, I'm ready to cry here. The way Blaze is gripping him like he's her lifeline, and the way that he's holding her close says so much.
All in all, this is AMAZING! you did a brilliant job! keep up the good work!
