There are just so many elements at play here, and you nail each 'n' every one of them with gusto. The composition is simple, but elegant, and the little framing device is quite nice; the way the veshi hangs a little outside adding a good bit of dimensionality to the scene. Then you get to the sheer mind-boggling level of detail and expert lighting WITHIN that frame and things get even better. The well-rendered grass, the brilliant sunshine, the beautiful reflecting light on Nakina's gold bands...it's absolutely engrossing how much detail you so lovingly put into this image. The heart of the pic, though, is Nakina herself, and she is simply wondrous; that wide-eyed smile, that wonderfully playful pose...it's endearing and adorable. <3

Aha, Nakina looks so happy. And, omfg, the veshi is the most adorable thing omfg. I love the variety of textures, and all the little details--the background, the scales, the fabric--and I really like the lineart highlights, they lend so well to the brightness of the scene. :3

Beautiful scenery. So playful and full of life. I could image this in a oval picture frame on a desk or end table. Very well done, and I'm always a fan of the shiny.

She is a Talusite, an original race of mine. I've been making art and stories involving them since I was a kid and at one point made adoptables of them before I quit #AlienAdoptables over personal issues with the founder. Here are some adults. [link] [link] They're rainforest dwelling lizard people, basically. *Scorpio-Gustavo took an interest in them and asked for his own Talusite child a few years back, before AA was even a thing, so I designed one for him.

Alright. Let's see if I can accumulate enough words to make a decent comment. -cracks knuckles-
Let me just start off by saying how freaking ADORABLE. That little girl's face is. AND THAT THING SHE IS A CHASING. Oh my god, if those things existed, I'd want one. I've read that you find that background are one of your weak points but I feel like this one turned out extremely well. I love the lighting effect! And the way that you laid it out gives it perspective that if it were just a flat, no detailed backdrop, you wouldn't see.
I also like the shine that you give to metals~ It makes them look so pretty.
I won't even try to critic it, because I really suck at that. xD; So I'm just going to tell you how fabulous I think this turned out and go on about my day.

The background is just stamps. I originally took it to Sai and tried to make a hand-drawn background of trees, but while I can do that in traditional beautifully (see the cool bark on my Kurama With Dryads piece if you wanna see for yourself) I...I just can't tame Sai into doing what I freaking what and it just looks like fingerpaint. 
The metal is a prepackaged gradient effect. EVERYTHING YOU LOVE IS A LIE. Except the figures themselves. >_>;
As for critique, I think you'd do fine, but thanks for the vote of confidence.
