Description
This work is not to be vectored, traced, copied, reposted, edited, or recolored. Reposting to other sites is fine so long as credit is given.For , whose request was Antoine and Sally sparring, since they seem to be the only two of the core group who know how to use swords. Obviously, they’re gonna have to practice on eachother.
Back in my 5,000 kiriban, I was unclear on the rules, and there was some confusion. That was my fault, and I felt terrible, so…here you go! ^_^ I would have done it anyway as a simple request, it’s an awesome idea, and this was a lot of fun to make.
I gave them wooden swords and a cheering section so everyone knows it’s not serious. I’d imagine a wooden sword would still freaking hurt a lot, it’s basically getting hit by the edge of a board at high speed, so there’s still plenty of incentive to not get hit. O_o
Sorry this took so long, I kept getting distracted by Chrono Trigger DS. :3 Must…level…up…

Most definitely. I think bravery can even be measured by how much fear a person feels.
The thing that always distracted me in the series was WHY they brought Antoine along when all he did was whine, cower, and fumble around. The writers didn't let his character shine very much, which was a shame. It would have been pretty sweet to see a turn around in his character, maybe some event that straightens him out a bit.

Oh, I dunno about straightening him out, fear is a part of his base character. Toning down the hammy, one-note character thing, on the other hand...yeah, coulda done with that. I think Archie comics, for all the horrible decisions they've made with characters, has actually done right by Antoine. He's proven that, despite his nerves, he is capable of being competent (especially when Bunnie is around

I really like this. It's very... Knothole. That's the best way I can think to describe it. And nice to see Antoine not being SatAm Antoine. Much as I loved the series, I could have done without the incessant lame attempts at comic relief.

I try not to portray any character as one-sided. Antoine can be a scaredy-cat (er...dog...coyote...whatever) but there's more to him than that. If nothing else, despite how afraid he is, he's still out there with the rest of them. I like to think that says something. Isn't true bravery doing what you must even if you're terrified?

Wow, you seem to have a knack to draw fighting scenes!
The movements are very smooth and the colors make it even better. Can't not give some cheers to Antoine's rad physical, too (I'm a fan of the French dude and I'm tired of him beind drawn as a wimp-ass bitch).
All in all, this is not a scene, but ONE scene. As such, it's faved!

Really? I consider action my weak point. xD But thank you! And yeah, practicing swordsmen tend to be fit. I don't imagine Antoine is Mister Universe, but he's no noodle-boy if he's been keeping up with his combat training. :3

I could TOTALLY see that happening. I liked SatAM, but I hated that Sonic was the only one who was consistently cool. The others all need some spotlight!

He-he-he, I loved this!
I loved the crowd expressions. Tails had drawn a cute little poster to cheer on Sally, reminds me of something a kid would do to cheer on his dad or mom. Then Bunny is off cheering and yelling for Antoine, like a very supportive girlfriend. Then Sonic is just like "Sweet! Entertainment... AND popcorn!"
Then you make Antoine NOT a total prick and rather attractive. Though he does seem a bit younger in his face, but hey you were aiming at him looking good. Then Sally is just looking like she's having a great time sparring.
For some reason this also reminds me of Eragon when he first begins to train with wooden blades. -shrug- lol, idk why though, I haven't read the book in a while.

Antoine is only two years older than Bunnie, despite the way he acts sometimes. ^^ And no, I think Antoine has more to his personality than just being a fraidy-cat and soforth. I even gave him a moment of badassery in my fanfic.
And I would't know, I've never read/seen Eragon. ^^

Ah, okay. My knowledge of Archie and Satam is rather limited, as most of it I know from people on here and wikipedia. Lol, well from what I hear he eventually turns into a pretty cool character later on. Then I must read it, what's the title (in case you have more than one fanfic)

That's a shame, SatAM is available for purchase at a reasonable price. (It's also found on YouTube but I discourage that, as my girlfriend lost her job in an anime store because people never bought anything, just asked her about shows and then went to download them

Of course, do I. If we don't actually purchase the item, like a song for example, the artist does not gain any money and without the money to support himself/herself they don't write any more, etc, etc.

I gotta admit, the strange sight of a shirtless Antoine(I'm still new to the concept) reminds me of a book [that I think is]called Witch Blood, where the two main characters have their first two sparring sessions.

Yeah well, the comics have gradually retextured his character, and in current issues, he's definitely got more of a backbone, especially with Bunnie around to calm him down. So...it's not entirely my idea.

You are right about archie giving him a backbone. But I quit reading those after the first Sonic adventure storyline because in my opinion Ken Penders basically ruined the series after that. Especially with that whole Fiona Fox incident.

Yanno, I didn't much care for Antoine at first, but they've really developed him in the comics, so I'm trying to reflect his changes in personality. Plus, it's just a spar, they're not really trying to kill each other. ..... today, muahaha!!
