was the first place category winner in the last #FanArtIntegrityClub contest. Her prize request was her character, Ronnie, as Blaziken or Quilava.
I REALLY WANTED TO DO BLAZIKEN. The feet! THE FEEEEET! They are awesome! But...as I drew, I realized Blaziken has too much stuff over his face to have made Ronnie recognizable, and if I took away all his face-stuff, then it wouldn't look like a Blaziken, so I had to change to Quilava and start over. >o<

Nice work. I like the flexible position of the spine and the glow of the red fire. The simple rounded background is also interesting enough, but not distracting. Keeps my eye on the character. Usually I'm not a fan of pokemon that have hair like a human, but I think you pulled it off in this piece. Does this pokemon usually have blond hair?

No, the Pokemon is supposed to look like Ronnie, a human character of Kordi's. Ronnie has blonde hair and green eyes, while Quilava have red eyes and no hair. So, it's a very modified Pokemon! Thanks for coming by, I appreciate it. ^^

Like a water balloon he's going to throw at my face but since he's a fire pokemon it's actually a ball of twigs thats on fire or something.

Sorry ya had to reset your plans on the Blaziken/Quilava front, but the end result is still pleasantly amusing. I rathe like the background, oddly enough; it's such a nice mesh of lights and darks. I think the flames could stand to be a touch more detailed, less rigid, but that's just my personal feeling, and as they are it's still a great visual touch. And, of course, you chose an excellent pose, as it perfectly accentuates the features of the character and the Pokemon. ^_^
