It may be a little dramatic to make a journal about changing my username, but keep in mind, I've been WingedHippocampus for eleven of the twelve years that I've been on DA. This is kind of a big deal for me.
It also took a lot of agonizing to come to the decision, because what tiny recognition I have is under that name.
But...
It's too damn long and cumbersome. It doesn't fit in a lot of fields on other sites, like FR. It won't fit in any of my 3DS fields. It's a pain in the ass to type out. Also, it's associated with parts of my life that I've grown past, positive and negative, from my true debut into the adult world, to dead friendships, to fandoms I'm just not really a large part of anymore. It's time to be recognized for something else, and as someone else.
What did it mean? I spent a lot of time in school drawing winged merhorses. I became enamored with the name WingedHippocampus's double meaning, too. It could also mean a part of the brain, and the idea of it being winged was like imagination taking flight.
Omnicenos is less poetic, it roughly translates to 'eats all'. Not a literal interpretation of me, as I'm a notoriously picky eater. But I am always open to ideas, as much as I can be, I want a little bit of everything to become a part of me. And yes, like my first account made here twelve years ago, it's also a character of mine (no, I do not consider it my persona, considering he's a soul-eating monster from between the dimensions, that would be creepy.) More importantly, the name is shorter, and the name is new...and will probably outlast the character anyway.
Will I change my name again after this? Maybe. We'll see what time and experience brings.
So, there you have it. Thank you for these twelve years, and I hope you continue on with me as you did before.

Meh, I've been doing okay. College (and family) obligations pretty much tied me up completely for the last four years. I finally graduated in May though, so that's one priority out of the way. Out of curiosity, do you by any chance have a Steam account? *silently crosses fingers*

I'm afraid I don't, I'm kind of a semi-casual. Pokemon, Kingdom Hearts, some of the classics like Super Metroid and Sonic. Not enough to warrant a Steam account. Why?

Because I hopped on the "Steam gamer" bandwagon about a year-and-a-half ago, and I was hoping to be able to get back into regular contact with you and several other people I know on dA-- since my chronic procrastinitis is still acting up, I can't upload and share artwork. To that end, I've taken up socializing through multiplayer games. I mean, seriously-- I'VE BEEN GONE FROM THIS PLACE FOR FOUR YEARS. I NEED SOCIAL INTERACTION!! And since my buddies over on Dead Frontier (that zombie MMORPG I mentioned a long time ago) aren't always online, well... you can probably connect the dots from there. :3>

I had somewhat the same reason why I also choose another username XD as much as I enjoyed my old one just to much negativity and weeaboness tied to it (no really I can't even look at my old art without wondering I was high on *hides shame*) though now I can also be commonly found as Apocalyptichorse elsewehere, very sometimes AlienPestilence I jump a little between those 3 XD

indeed, how have you been? I've been quite well dealing with the last bits of stress before summer begins XD also trying to get a summer job which is quite a pain, either all to far away from where I live or I'm to old/lack required skills @_@

good ^^ and thanks, it is sadly, my age also comes into play mainly because for most employers it's cheaper to hire someone of 16-18 then to hire of someone of 21-22 it's a pain but it beats sitting at home doing nothing all day, as most of ym friends are leaving so yeah gotta do somthing to keep me occupied ^^

I only changed the name cuz this was gonna be the secondary account. But I have deleted the one I had dubbed the primary, and now this one is the one and only.
