Description
Taking a glass/bead/whatever-else-we-have-time-for class in school, and made this piece for for her birthday! Which was a while ago...I used orange frits for the space around the bird (which was s' posed to be a hummingbird but I didn't have a ref. and ran out of room...) and the white and black stringers were twisted over a Bunsen burner. It was fired at 1350 degrees in the kiln, which at first I feared would be too low a temp. but it turned out great, fuse-wise.
Oh, and since you can't tell, it's 2in.x2.5in. and about a centimeter thick.

Oh yeah ^^ Although, at the moment, I think my right thumb and pinky finger would disagree... Apparently I'm abnormally bad at handling glass so as not to get cut.
