You cant count everything in the anime's added additions. Otherwise that'll mean Light turned into a Shinigami at the end. A theory that bugs me because it contradicts the reality the author was going. There was nothing "special" about Light. He was human (also a dirty coward) and nothing more. When a human dies, they are dead. That is the rules of the show.
Plus, how the hell would L know Light would go to that warehouse or catch up with him before the cops who were chasing him?

That was explained as him being in that one originally monitoring the event, but as for the anime's addition what about it implied that that that he becomes a shinigami ,as far as i know, the manga produced an ending where L went to the Shinigami world and then usurped the Shingami king, which I don't like at all.
I'm aware of the anime's alternate ending where he becomes a Shinigami himself and i don't recognize that either .
And really L being in the warehouse at the end is more of an additional touch, I just like the idea of him being alive the entire time, and BB hurting him one last time and stealing his death.

Well, it's not like L really WANTED to die... he was just not afraid to (unlike Light).
And the warehouse scene wasn't in the manga. Even if it was, even if L orchestrated the events of Light's defeat... he would not have known Light would go to the warehouse since it was not part of the plan for Mikami to stab himself and gush out blood like a fire hose, giving Light a chance to run away.

It wasn't his master plan to be in the warehouse "he's sure to enter." That randomly happened to be the one where he was hold up, and of all the ones to go in, Light ran to that one, like fate. If anything i was willing to believe that it's cause Ryuk wrote it that way.
But yea again, I pick and choose what i like from both Manga and the Anime, in the Manga Light comes to the shinigami realm and makes ready to usurp the King of the Shinigami as the realms first Human king.
In the Anime, he is a Shinigami himself at the end asking about himself.
I choose to choose the middle ground of both where they just say he's effing dead period, but i like the anime's input that Misa dies by throwing herself from a roof.

Well in the manga they said Misa committed suicide on the Valentine's Day after Light's death.

Hiccup is not a bad character and doubting one's self is never a good virtue, and he does learn not to do so.
However he does fool-hartily believe that by merely talking with a man that he's never met...and that his father does...who is a conquerer and out right murderer, he'll change his mind.
That, as a notion, is stupid. Hero's make stupid calls, even BATMAN makes stupid calls. So i'm making light of it, it's what a meme is. And if you find it copyright infringing, may i direct you to the several dozen PAGES and and GROUPS of meme's and meme makers here on DA who have not been pulled down and are not in violation.
