Description
In this AU, we get to see Weiss's life in the months past between coming home to Atlas from Volume 3's end, till Volume 4.In that time, her father has only spoken of her ordeal at Beacon when attempting to butter up an executive or milk empathy out of potential investors.
With Klein often too busy with tending to her mother, and brother and father to boot...Weiss finds herself left to her own devices, and her native "friends" of Atlas are revealed to be fair-weather when compared to her Team, or down right ignorant to the struggles of the swindled or Faunus.
The only one Weiss ironically could talk to about the event, with a semblance of understanding, was Flynt Coal of Team FNKI.
Though bitter opponents in the Vytal Tournament, they left the fight with differing and...redemptive views of each other, and their sides of the tracks.
Weiss was no longer the prissy, daddy's girl of a Schnee, and Flynt not the angry, working class envying of her success.
With this new mutual understanding that she was more than a Schnee, and him more than a sassy Musician, they found each other to be much needed confidants.
Knowing her father would never approve, of her associating with a "licentious miscreant" who defied their university's policy's on freedom of expression, they defiantly meet in secret...practicing, sparring, talking....teasing....and one night while walking her to her car....kissing.
Two sides of the same city, one from it's underbelly, the other it's echelon of ivory towers, laying prejudice aside...under the noses of the ones who would see them apart.

I always liked the idea of them as the sister the other never had.

Seriously, think about it. I would be OK with it if it was just Oscar, but it's not. It's Oscar and Ozpin sharing the body. So Rose Garden would be basically Ruby and Ozpin.

NOW. For the whole Oscar/Ozpin controversy. Allot of people believe he is only a sleeve for Ozpin , and that Ruby falling for him means she's in love with her teacher, or that she will be destined to be with him, because Ozpin is going to utterly take him over:
FALSE.
Ozpin literally says "over time, "I" am changed." Not Oscar, not my host's soul, I am changed. Ozpin is not the wizard, Ozpin is the amalgamation of the Wizard and the young boy who Oz once was before becoming the man we know today, who is a merging of Oz and the wizard, thus why he is always the "Man with 2 souls" and not the the man with 10, or 12, or 100. Starting with 2, ending with 1 when the previous one merges into the next one, and they take on that first ones memories and abilities. Oscar will be Oscar if he were an adult man but with traits and memories of Ozpin , making him a different man, but he will NOT be Ozpin, no more than Ozpin was who was the wizard before him when he was a young man with someone's voice in his head like Oscar.
Even if we entertain the idea that Oscar is destined to be Ruby's teacher like people insist inspite of evidence...it will not matter:
Ozpin is doomed to reincarnate in the body of a like-minded host (like a time share or split personality) UNTIL he fulfills his oath and Salem is dead. He is cursed. It's a spell, when Salem dies, the spell is broken.
Now do you honestly think this series won't end on the defeat or death of Salem? When that happens, the spell will be lifted and Ozpin will finally be at peace and be allowed to die.
Oscar would be without Ozpin completely then.
There. We have covered all of the areas that people generally like to use to shoot down this new ship that poses a threat to their ones they've had since volume 1.
Why I think they're cute together? They're both the respective youngest members of this posse, and inexperienced , but learning to get better because they don't like the idea of someone getting hurt who they could help. Both have...if you think about it, unexplained powers they had no say in the matter about, and are very new to this whole thing. Also their bit of dialogue in the dojo's the first semblance of her acting like a good main character and conveying her motivations in the whole scheme of this tale...and Oscar as well for showing actual human emotion for everything they're facing.

Anyway now that that is out of the way, here's a new question for you:
What are you hopping to see in Volume 6?
Personally, I want to see three things in the next Volume.
1 - Salem's backstory:
We know next to nothing about her. From her origins, to her overall goal. A lot of people seem to think Salem isn't actually the real villain of this series and that she is fighting for the right reason, just tackling it the wrong way. And that maybe Ozpin is the bad guy here.
Personally opinion, we have seen a few reasons why to start doubting him. Not giving full answers, keeping things from the hero's, taking over Oscar's without his permission in that fight with Hazzel. I'm starting to really think our hero's shouldn't trust him.
2 - Bringing Neo back:
I don't think I need to explain this one. Everyone wants her to come back. I bet even you do too.
And 3 - (Personnel favorite) Show us some Summer Rose flashbacks:
We have not heard what she sounds like, what she fully looks like, what kind of personality she has, nothing. I want to see her in action and know some details about the leader of Team STRQ.
Not to mention, I know you may not agree with this, but really don't think Tai Yang is Ruby's dad. I do think he is the one who RAISED Ruby as his own. But I think she has any blood ties to Tai or Yang at all. They can still be sisters, just not by blood.
I like to think that Ruby's real father is someone we haven't met yet. Maybe he's even working with Salem, I don't know, but hey. The possibility is out there, so I'm gonna stick with it.

I'm most interested on what you think about the theory on Ruby's father not being Tai.
Do you think that's possible? If not, then please explain why not. And NO, I don't think for a single second that Qrow is Ruby's dad. It's stupid in my opinion.

I'll handle this in number:
One, I'm indifferent to the notion of Ruby's parentage as a whole.
Two, I doubt that Qrow is her father simply because RT has literally stated recently that Qrow is not her father. THAT is why the notion is implausible.
Three, that's the single most reason why the idea that Qrow is her father is bogus. Were that creator confirmation non existent, it's actually quite plausible for Ruby to be Qrow's daughter rather than Tai's, and there are in-show elements that could support the theory. Repeat: Theory.

What if Ruby's father was someone we have yet to meet in the series and we're going to meet later on down the road.
